Pumpkin and Peach Smoothie

I’m convinced that Pumpkin and Peach are one of the many combos that are severely overlooked.  I made a pumpkin peach cobbler the other day, nervous about how it would turn out, and it was delicious.  So, here is another combo but obviously a healthier twist.

It was 107 here yesterday so the thought of turning on the oven was out of the question.  But I have purchased just short of a million cans of pumpkin, and this took care of a half of one of them.

Any other good pumpkin and peach combos?  Throw them my way, I have a bounty of both!

Pumpkin and Peach Smoothie

serves 2 large classes

1/2 cup pumpkin puree or canned pumpkin (unsweetened)

1 cup rice milk

3 peaches, no pits, but keep skin on for nutritional value, cut in half

cinnamon to taste

nutmeg to taste

honey to taste

5-6 ice cubes

Place all the ingredients into blender and place on “puree”.  Blend until smooth.  Easy, easy, easy and delicious.

I LOVE both pumpkin and peach! It’s rainy and beginning to look a lot like autumn here in NYC, any chance you’ll be posting that pumpkin/peach cobbler recipe? :)
