Prep Table Completed and a List of Kitchen Must-Haves
The prep table that my darling husband made me is finished! I am so excited to show you all the little details, including the knobs that we picked out from Anthropologie. Don’t you just love that store? I was so glad that I was pregnant walking in there this past week so that I was not tempted to buy anything. Post pardum. That is where I will be.
Before I continue with the tour of this wonderful item, let me say that the cabinet fronts are from Ikea, and knobs Anthropologie, and the rest is wood that my husband put together, stained, etc. I have never loved baking and keeping my kitchen clean more than I do now.
Look at these knobs! Don’t you just love them?! I do! All different colors, shapes, and they all reflect something unique: Polka dots, keys, a crab, a yellow rose, a diamond, and a branch. Love it.
And the organization, oh the organization! I love it! The whole kitchen was re-organized and put back together, and here is a picture of my four favorite drawers. From the left to right: measuring cups, wine openers, salad servers, pizza cutters. Silver ware, all sorted including small forks/big forks, small spoons/big spoons. Baking and decorating essentials. Tea and ice cream drawer complete with three different ice cream scoops, and a tea strainer that serves double as a spoon.
And it’s here in these drawers that I want to tell you about a few of my most favorite kitchen must-haves. Yes, I love Le Creuset, my Kitchenaid Mixer, you know the usual, but I am talking about the little things that I have found to make a big difference. So in no particular order:
Cuisipro Ice Cream Scoop Perfect for gourmet ice cream scoops or desserts as it comes out in a rectangular shape with rounded edges. Or it looks like old-school Thrifty ice cream scoops. Whatever comes to mind.
Isi Stainless Steel Whipped Cream Maker Homemade whipped cream is just always better. Done.
Sanding Sugar I got mine at Williams Sonoma and I know for a fact they have about a dozen colors to choose from but you can get it at most craft or cooking stores. I love sanding sugar. It gives most recipes just a little something extra.
Candy Thermometer It’s a good investment. If you need to make candy, ice cream, or something of the like, you will need one of these.
Citrus Press I love my Citrus Press! It’s perfect for squeezing and blocks all the seeds. You will love this.
There is so much more, and my birthday is coming up, so what are your favorite kitchen gadgets? I am always adding to my wish list!
Bon

What a great job! Where did you get the idea to put the different knobs on there? I love it.
