I did myself a favor and tried cakepops last weekend. You know, Bakerella’s sensation that are maybe the cutest thing I have ever seen. And you know what? That Bakerella must have lots and lots of patience because the number of steps that cakepops take is exhausting! I was on my feet all afternoon and being 6 and a half months pregnant I was so tired I could barely breathe.
Ok I’m lying. I could breathe just fine. I tend to exaggerate. But, seriously, I could never make batch after batch.
Ok so here they are. Not too bad for my first time, but here are few issues I ran into that I need your help:
1.) How big is each cakepop suppossed to be? According to her book which I purchased after the fact, you should get 12 out of 1/4 of a cake mix.
2.) I can’t get those candy melts to be thin enough. My cakepops did not go in and come out of the melted chocolate smoothly.
3.) I kept eating them.
4.) I tried to form the dough into an “apple” shape and gave up and went for a ball. Any tips there?
5.) I kept eating them.
I bought her book and am going to try her tips and tricks, but anyone have any good advice for me?
Have a good weekend!
